Sensitization of Community on the Impact of Oil Distraction in the Turkana Region

Turkana, located in the far north-west of the country, is the largest of Kenya’s 47 counties made up mostly of pastoralists who sustain their livelihood through livestock. However, their lives could be transformed by the approx. 750 million recoverable barrels of oil lying under Turkana’s soils. Turkana’s community is worried about oil activities encroaching on their grazing lands. NovatechMedia was commissioned by Friends of Lake Turkana to produce a short animation video supporting their endeavor to sensitize the community on the Impact and the Effects of Oil Distraction on their livelihoods in the rural Turkana Region.
